Another great gig on the horizon sees Nico Muhly directing Britten Sinfonia with works from Reich, Glass and the superb Amidon

Young firebrand New Yorker Nico Muhly is one of the most exciting and diverse composers around today. Equally at home on the concert platform or in the recording studio, he has written and performed with major American symphony orchestras and artists including Björk and Sigur Rós.

Muhly will direct and perform Britten Sinfonia in a programme exploring his own compositions alongside works by his musical mentors Steve Reich and Philip Glass, and new songs and arrangements with his latest collaborator, the young American roots singer Sam Amidon.
