We are pleased to inform you that the Fluid Radio iPhone/iPod application is now live and below is the information needed to get the app installed and running…
Details:
- It is completely free!
- WiFi and 3G compatible.
- Works on any iPhone or iPod touch model that has a 3G or WiFi connection (technically this rules out the original iPhone, but the app will still run on it, the user will just have a difficulty getting a stable audio stream) as long as the device has iPhone OS 3.0 or later.
- The Fluid Radio iPhone/iPod app allows you to listen to the Experimental Abstract Channel or the Experimental Folk Channel, along with music news, album reviews and is the perfect way to experience new music on your iPhone/iPod.

Was using this all day on my travels.
It really is a great app!
It only lacks last.fm scrobble, but it is perhaps not possible on audio streams.
The application is great, I use it every day !
Any chance there will be a Android app soon? :) I guess it´s just to try and spread the word..I´ll do my best.

I don’t have an iPhone, but i do have a phone that has Android, so I suppose I should join the chorus for the Android app?
Phillipe Petit showed me the app in action two weeks ago – I think it’s even more useful than the site, actually :-) Gives you that classic radio feeling.

I seem to be unable to multitask while listening to fluid.

Yep we have done an update and are waiting for Apple to give it the all clear.
The latest OS update from Apple caused a conflict which we fixed straight away but are now waiting in line for it to be processed.

It’s really great, but i don’t get any news and album informations on my iphone app.
We are currently waiting for Apple to give clearance to our latest update that will resolve the glitches caused by the recent OS Update. Thanks for your patience.

We would love to do the Android app and have some great ideas but until people start donating regularly it is not possible financially.

Only recently discovered Fluid Radio but I am very happy about that. Managed to discover a lot of new music. Bought Anna Rose Carter yesterday, realising that I’ve missed a lot of nice releases in 2010. To prevent that from happening again I wanted to install this app on my iPhone, but for some reason I can’t find it in my area (Netherlands). Am I mistaken or just searching really bad in the store or is it only available in the UK?

Hi everybody, Just got my Iphone and first thing I went for was Fluid Radio app of course ! Unfortunately, It seems to me it is not available in Norway ! Tell me I’m wrong !

Any news regarding the iPhone app?

Looks amazing but being an iPhone app means it only works on one phone. What about an Android version? There are far far more phone types by so many different manufacturers that use the Android operating system than use the Apple system. The iPhone got all the qudos for being the industry and design first, but in terms of mass market reach you will find a far greater audience with an Android app (Wikipedia currently lists 22 manufacturers such as Samsung, Philips, HTC, Motorola etc) compared to the iPhone (just the one – Apple).
Will you consider an Android version for us Android phone users please?!! That would be fab!! Thank you.
The app is not available in the german app store. Do you have any plans releasing it there as well? That would be great.

Ok guys here is the low down….
Unfortunately the app is not available at the moment for the following reason:
The guy that designed the application for us has decided to go AWOL leaving me to pick up the pieces.
The app needed to be updated for the new OS and as our chap has vanished we have no one to do the technical side of things.This has meant Apple have pulled it from the site until we can make the relevant updates.
For those that do have the app the 2 music broadcasts will still work over wi-fi and 3G but the content from the web site will not be updated.
I am really sorry about this but unfortunately there is not a thing I can do as the guy that designed the app for us has let me down BIG TIME!
If anyone can help out in any way I would like to hear from you.
