We first mentioned the work of K. Eric Kassner back in 2009 when we was instantly struck by his debut release ‘Partial To Memory’ produced under his Keepsakes guise. With a new project coming up on Fluid Audio’s sub label at some point in 2011 we wanted to bring your attention to the stunning photographic work that Kassner creates. He has recently had work featured over at the fabulous We Sink Ships web site and the following is a snippet of what you can find at the exhibition…

My work, both visual and aural, is a sort of memento of my thoughts and feelings on various aspects of the human condition.

Partial to Memory represents a small portion of my photographic work (1997-present). All blurring and distortion is intentional. Please note that all photographs are hand toned and the true appearance of the image cannot be captured through the scanning process.

When The Times Have Reached Their Fulfillment/Ghosts are two new pieces by Keepsakes, which will be released on an album on Under The Spire Recordings in the near future. The instrumentation used on these two works includes: marimba, vibraphone, field recordings, & found sounds.

Keepsakes’ debut album, which is also titled Partial to Memory, was self-released on Cislunar in 2009. Limited copies are still available. To purchase contact: keepsakes.az@gmail.com.
