An excerpt from Alex Durlak’s audio and visual installation at The Vogue Cinema in Sackville, New Brunswick during Sappy Fest 2012…

The video features various printing machines from Standard Form, my print shop, and was projected full screen in the cinema. The three audio tracks are “Bellows” which was originally featured on the “Kanshin” compilation which raised money for the Japanese earthquake in 2011, “Strings III” from the recently released split cassette “Guitars and Drums” with Damian Valles on Komino Records, and an unreleased track titled “Kagel Excercises”. The audio was specially mixed to make use of the theatre’s surround sound system for an immersive experience. The piece was approximately 40 minutes in length. – Alex Durlak
