Oxford 11-16 March 2014
One of the UK’s biggest and most adventurous annual festivals of experimental music and sound art returns in March for a week of exhibitions and performances, curated by the Sonic Art Research Unit (SARU) at Oxford Brookes University. The festival aims to engage the widest possible audience from Oxford and beyond with a range of challenging contemporary practices, including investigations of the domestic soundscape, experimental approaches to composition and improvisation, explorations of new and obsolete technology, and critical approaches to field recording.
This year’s festival runs from 11-16 March 2014 at various venues across Oxford. The programme includes performances and exhibitions from Zimoun, Christina Kubisch, Patrick Farmer and David Stent, Rie Nakajima, Dawn Scarfe, JD Zazie, and many others. Further details can be found on festival’s website.
