The various geographically-dispersed members of the Wandelweiser Collective have been instigating quiet revolutions at the intersections of acoustic and electronic music, composition and improvisation, for a number of years now. Their label Edition Wandelweiser is hard at work preparing its next release comprising five compositions from Cem Güney, a composer based in Izmir, Turkey.
To help make the release possible, the label is offering bonuses of up to three CDs from their back catalogue for all pre-orders. Previous editions include recordings of compositions by John Cage, Peter Ablinger, Michael Pisaro, Eva-Maria Houben, Jürg Frey, and Antoine Beuger.
