Sonic Arts Award is an international award dedicated to the art of sound that has its headquarter in Rome. Every year a number of submitted works are shortlisted across four categories: sound art, sonic research, soundscapes, and digital art.
The 2014 prize was awarded to Matija Strnisa for his piece ‘Particles of Accordeon’. Strnisa’s composition, as well as other shortlisted works by artists such as Yannick Dauby, Jeremy Bible, Vektormusik, and France Jobin, are now featured on a compilation available for download from the Sonic Arts Award website.
