Buy music, aid disaster relief

Koen Holtcamp - Voice Model, simple 3D model of red, yellow, and black walls, with an uncanny detailed concrete sphere on the floor

On 19 September a magnitude 7.1 earthquake struck central Mexico, causing substantial damage across three states. The death toll currently stands at 308, with many thousands more injured. The quake occurred on the 32nd anniversary of the 1985 Mexico earthquake, which killed around 10,000 people.

Label Umor Rex is based in Mexico City, which was badly hit, but thankfully label head Daniel Castrejon and his family are safe. Until 15 October, Castrejon will be donating all Umor Rex Bandcamp sales to the International Red Cross and other groups working to support victims and rebuild the city in the wake of this terrible catastrophe.

If you’ve not yet had chance to pick up the latest album from Rafael Anton Irisarri, or back catalogue releases from the likes of Driftmachine, Koen Holtkamp, M. Geddes Gengras, or Félicia Atkinson, now would be an excellent time to do so.
