Exclusive audio taken from Kumi Takahara’s debut album ‘See-through’…
After years of lending her talents to the projects of other artists, her first solo outing sees Takahara creating emotive soundscapes that ache with fragile beauty. Throughout its ten tracks, See-Through is a seabreeze of piano, soft vocals and swirling strings that paints pictures of the gaps in everyday life.
Kumi Takahara was born in Tokyo and began playing violin at age three. After studying classical music, she graduated top of her class from Kunitachi College of Music. In 2012 she moved to Vienna to continue her studies, participating in concerts in Germany, France, Poland and other European countries. Currently based in Tokyo, Takahara collaborates with artists and musicians such as aus, Anoice, KASHIWA Daisuke, Shione Yukawa, and World’s End Girlfriend.
